(Translated from Mongolian to English by Solongo.S)
It is already time to say goodbye to the beautiful summer and welcome autumn by saying hello. It is very pleasant to see children start to go to school. Unfortunately, the awful smoke that we usually breathe in the winter has already come with the autumn. Even with this well-known annual problem, many people are still moving from the countryside to Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian capital.
It is impossible to tell people living in ger districts to move away in order to decrease the city’s air pollution. Air of Ulaanbaatar city is extremely polluted. Sometimes I want to say 「Please move to another place. Darkhan and Erdenet are also quite big cities too」.
As a resident who has lived in this city since my childhood, I have been thinking a lot about reducing the air pollution. However, if I tell the people from the countryside who are moving here to move to other cities instead, they will probably say, 「We are the descendants of Chinggis Khan. Why don’t we have the right to live on our own land? Where is our human right?」. Some people really think they can do whatever they want by just saying that they are Chinggis Khan’s descendants.
But this is not how we should love our own country! Chinggis Khan would not be happy if he knew what we have done. (As an aside, I wish people would stop calling out Chinggis Khan’s name when they are totally drunk. It is shameful to see these drunken people priding themselves as descendants of Chinggis Khan.)
Chinggis Khan used to care for and protect nature like no one else could ever do. If we really admire our great khan, we should follow and respect the 「Ikh Zasag」 law of Chinggis Khan. In this law, it tells how Mongolians should treat nature and the environment.
I would like to tell all of the Mongolian people that first we should gain a deeper understanding of Chinggis Khan’s teachings if we want to sing about and praise him. This country needs wise people who care for and show great respect to their country and nature. What this country doesn’t need is people who shout 「We have a beautiful country! We are the Mongolians of Chinggis Khan」 when they are drunk.
You are not a true Mongolian if you cut down trees without any regrets, throw rubbish everywhere and spoil nature with mercury just to earn a little money, even if you like to say 「I am a Mongolian!」. You are just disgracing Mongolians!
Those people who think this way, PLEASE START a new life from today! If we can do that, Chinggis Khan really will be happy.

Over-urbanized. This is the problem of all big cities in the world.
我對"Ikh Zasag"感到相當好奇,請問哪裡可以找到全文?
我幫你問問。不知道跟這個有沒有關:http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Yassa
i thought this article is about protection of environment, after read i really didn't understand what author was trying to tell, air pollution? Mongolian people attitude? Chinggis's "Ikh zasag"law?
Super idea, let us restart and think environmentally and close to our tradition of nature religion. Today we have new kind of people in Mongolia, who are thinking and handling for profit and own benefit.
It is something new and also would hard to change it, but we have young generation like Tamiraa and that is our hope for future.
